The Merc and Seven Stories Press with CLMP & New Directions present an evening celebrating W. G. SEBALD and the publication of "The Emergence of Memory: Conversations with W. G. Sebald" edited by Lynne Sharon Schwartz

This special evening will bring together contributors from the new book The Emergrence of Memory to celebrate the late writer W.G. Sebald. The evening will include appreciations and anecdotes, readings from Sebald’s body of work, and discussions on the impact of this genre-bending writer on today’s literature.

Lynne Sharon Schwartz is the author of nineteen works of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and memoir. She has been nominated for the National Book Award, the PEN/Hemingway Award for Best First Novel, and the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction, and she won the PEN Renato Poggioli Award for Translation in 1991.
