"The E.R.A. is one of the more promising new local jazz ensembles we’ve heard recently. On its debut, Introducing the E.R.A., the septet—including saxist Jonathan Moritz, guitarist Chris Welcome, bassist Shayna Dulberger and drummer John McLellan—establishes itself as a band committed to tight yet breathable arrangements. All four players contribute tunes, ensuring a diverse program, which can suggest either a queasy crawl (“Romans 10:9”) or a nimble prance (“Year of the Pig”)." Time Out New York
