Peter R. de Vries, Crime Investigator
Peter R. de Vries is the Netherlands most famous crime reporter and investigator. He rocked the Royal Throne with his report on Mabel - the so called "Mabelgate", unraffled the famous Putter Murder case ending a serious justicial failing and became world famous with his report on Natalee Holloway and Joran van der Sloot. During the past year Peter R. de Vries won several awards including the most prestigious TV award of all - the international Emmy Award.

Apart from his crime investigations, De Vries is also author of several true crime books, such as "The kidnapping of Alfred Heineken" with more then 250,000 books sold the most popular crime novel in the Netherlands.

His famous TV series has now been running for almost 15 years during which time he solved a dozen murders and brought many other crimes and judicial failings to light. He is described by friend and foe as "phenomenal". In other areas of his life he considered to become involved with domestic politics and made the news last year as a potential candidate for the post of the new director of Ajax - however, he has been a crimereporter for over 30 years, and will remain so in heart and soul for the rest of his life. As the local dutch paper "De Volkskrant" put it: Peter R. de Vries is a man on a mission.
