'THE DRIFTERS' AND DONNIE BROOKS TO APPEAR AT BIG BEAR ' PAC' SEPT 23

'Cruisin Oldies Concerts Presents' world-renowned vocal legends "The Drifters" return to Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center on Saturday Sept. 23, 2006 at 7pm, with Singer/Comedian Donnie "Mission Bell" Brooks, backed by the Cruisin Oldies Showband. The show will be hosted by MC/Entertainer and Singer Mark W. Curran, who is also producer of the show.

The Drifters delivered explosive hits during the late fifties and early sixties, including "Under The Boardwalk," "Up On The Roof," "Save The Last Dance," "On Broadway," and "Money Honey." They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 1988 and continue to tour throughout the world.

"Their last appearance here at the PAC in 2005 was phenomenal," said Don Gavitte, manager of the PAC. "People are still asking for them. We are pleased to have them back."

Donnie Brooks is also celebrating his return to the PAC. Brooks had two major hits in the 60's,
"Mission Bell," and "Doll House," and appeared on "American Bandstand" and in many films of the era, including co-starring roles with Raquel Welch and Nancy Sinatra.

"People remember me from before pictures had sound," he jokes. Brooks will present his comedy act as well as singing, he says, "unless they pay me more money just to keep quiet," he quips.

Showtime is 7pm, tickets now available at the PAC box office.
