Over the past year, use of social media has grown dramatically. Today tools such as Facebook, Flicker and Twitter are used heavily for professional networking, inter-company communications and career development / job search - as well as for social connections.

While these tools can be a great way to develop, communicate and promote yourself for long term career success, there are some challenges to working effectively in the 'over-connected / all-connected world'.

As noted in recent press and discovered by companies and individuals, mis-use or even over-casual use of social media can have very bad consequences. In addition there are the issues of privacy breaches, unwanted marketing approaches and the impact on a person's reputation through over-mixing of personal and business life.

This program is designed to provide employees, managers, business owners, job seekers and consultants with guidelines, ideas and approaches they can put to use immediately to benefit from use of social media - without the threats.

Participants will hear examples of what has worked (and not) for company and individual use of social media as well as new perspectives for business in tomorrow's world of social media 'connectivity'.
