The District is a New York six-piece formed around the songwriting partnership of virtuoso multi-instrumentalist Paul Hammer and singer/guitarist Ron Pope. Likened to a blend of Counting Crows and Maroon 5, The District is a marriage of great songwriting, funk and down home soul. Jared Scharff is the man behind the huge sound of the recently recorded 'The Coast' EP. He wrote and played every instrument himself.
