The Dinner Party: An evening of experimental dance, music, film and performance art

In an effort to expand DC's venues for in-progress, experimental, and new work, The Dinner Party is a series of monthly open showings taking place on Tuesday nights. The shows began in April and, after a brief summer hiatus, we're back! The evening will end with a short facilitated audience discussion.

Scheduled to appear:

Janel and Anthony (guitar & cello duo; http://www.myspace.com/janelandanthony)

Dance Performance Group, directed and choreographed by Nancy Havlik (http://www.nancyhavlikdance.org/). Gary Rouzer (basscello; http://www.myspace.com/looknofretts ) will provide both music and movement, blurring the line between musician and dancer. The six-member group works with improvisation and structure.

Sarah Jane Archer (dance), Aaron Martin (alto saxophone) and T. A. Zook (basscello; http://www.myspace.com/tazook; http://www.myspace.com/tazookbasscello; http://www.myspace.com/lostcivilizationsmusic ; http://www.myspace.com/morelostcivilizations) will present an unrehearsed piece that will be improvised entirely on the spot.
