The Darkest Month September 19, 2008

The Darkest Month' commemorates the 100th anniversary of the worst month in coalmining history - December 1907, in which mining explosions at Monongah, in West Virginia (December 6) and Darr mine, in Western Pennsylvania (December 19) claimed the lives of hundreds of coalminers.
