The Darker Face of the Earth June 22, 2012

Sycamore Rouge's Main Stage season closes with The Darker Face of the Earth, a tragic story of interracial love in pre-Civil War South Carolina. Based on the Greek myth Oedipus and written by Pulitzer Prize winner and national Poet Laureate Rita Dove, The Darker Face of the Earth will be presented outdoors on the lawn of Historic Battersea as part of a continuing partnership between Sycamore Rouge and Battersea.
