The Cristian Rivera Foundation Fundraiser to Cure Pediatric Brain Tumor DIPG June 13, 2012

New York-based not-for-profit 501(c)(3) The Cristian Rivera Foundation announced that it will hold its first-ever New Jersey fundraiser event on Wednesday June 13, 2012 from 6pm to 9pm at Zylo Restaurant, Hoboken's premier Italian Tuscan steak house.

This exclusive fundraiser event will feature three hours of passed hors d'oeuvres, as well as specialty cocktails from Stoli Vodka and first-class tastings provided by Artesa Winery and Macallan Scotch. Entertainment will be provided by Winner of Sinatra Idol Eric DeLauro, as well as hot new singing sensations Tyler Reid and Stevie G, who can be seen at www.youtube.com/tylernstevie. Tickets cost $200, with all proceeds directly benefitting the Cristian Rivera Foundation, which has worked to raise awareness of and find a cure for rare pediatric brain stem tumor Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) since 2009.

There are 200-300 cases of DIPG diagnosed in the United States alone each year, primarily in children between the ages of 1 and 9. The median survival rate for a child diagnosed with DIPG is only 3-18 months and, to date, there are no known survivors.
