The Creative Spirit: Artists and Craftsmen of the Valley June 4, 2007

The exhibtion, 'The Creative Spirit: Artists and Craftsmen of the Valley, 1750-2000,' displays colonial furniture by local cabinetmakers, 19th-century portraits and landscape paintings inspired by the people and scenery of the region, and 20th-century commercial and cartoon art ranging from portraits of the Breck girls to illustrations by Springfield native Dr. Seuss.
