Today, culturally diverse artists present a rich expression of the vast cultural and artistic traditions that continue out of the West. The romantic view of idyllic landscape persists but includes new voices, views and forms. The West is not now, nor was it ever, one vision, one story, hope or dream. The artists in this collection represent the broad and rich aesthetics that emerge from many cultural, social, political and religious perspectives of today's West.
