Rumsey Playfield, 69th St, mid-park, Central Park
New York City, New York

Last year, Guelph, Ontario, rockers The Constantines released their fourth full-length album, Kensington Heights, to much acclaim. The album`s raw, moody mix of dub-punk, pop smarts, and traditional rock-and-roll punch furthered the Clash comparisons and resulted in another Juno award (Canada`s Grammy equivalent) nomination. This Central Park SummerStage show is a benefit to support the venue`s full season of free programs. Included on the bill with The Constantines are Explosions in the Sky and Castanets.

`The Constantines maintain a feverishly partisan dedication to the wild delirium of rock `n` roll ... air punching, anthemic.`
