The Comedy of Errors February 8, 2009

Bag&Baggage Productions, Hillsboro’s resident professional theatre company, will open a world premiere adaptation of William Shakespeare’s hysterical comedy of mistaken identities, The Comedy of Errors, at The Venetian Theatre on January 21, 2009. The play, adapted and directed by Bag&Baggage’s Artistic Director Scott Palmer, puts Shakespeare’s original in an animated world of projected backdrops, painted costumes, and physical comedy all reminiscent of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck cartoons of the 1960s and 1970s.

Performances take place January 21 – 24, 29 – 31 and February 5 – 7 at 7:30pm with special 2:00pm Sunday matinees on January 25 and February 1 and 8.
