You might recognise the intense contralto of Light Asylum's Shannon Funchess. A touring member with !!!, her voice has appeared on tracks by a host of bands including Telepathe, Bunny Rabbit and The Cult of Miracles, Teengirl Fantasy and TV on the Radio, but it’s with her own project that she is really going to make her mark. A brooding mix of black leather goth-pop and new-wave neon, Light Asylum (a duo, with Bruno Coviello on synth) have made a big noise from the get go, opening for likes of LCD Soundsystem and Cocorosie. The buzz is fierce with many a known music head calling them out as THE band to watch, we are beyond excited to have their only UK gig this trip. YUS!

BRETON
Breton began life when musicians and filmmakers Roman Rappak and Adam Ainger started swapping ideas in a warehouse in South East London. Quickly expanding into a multi-instrumental and visual collective with the inclusion of Ian Patterson, Daniel McIlvenny and Alex Wadey, Breton run a tight ship of audio/visual experimentation. Remixes have been made for Is Tropical, Hatcham Social and Penguin Prison. Their short films have screened at both the London Short Film Festival and the East London Film Festival and their music videos have adorned all the smart blogs. With Foals-esque guitars and dirty electro swagger, they're one of the most interesting bands in the UK right now. Get involved, Mofos.

FERAL (AKA MC KINKY)
Caron Geary AKA Feral AKA MC Kinky is an all out London legend. Running tings in clubland since the early 90's, she has entered the UK Charts with the E-Zee Possee's rave anthem 'Everything Starts with an 'E' and appeared on tracks by Boy George, Erasure, Jah Wobble and Natacha Atlas. Still a scene staple and much beloved performer, if you have seen her on stage annually at Lovebox or one of her many blazing PA's around the world you'll know she is the best white, female, ragamuffin toaster you ever gonna see. Ere me now.

DANA JADE
Sharing her time between the much lauded 22 woman strong alt-choir Gaggle and her own blues rock solo project, Dana Jade is a face to know. Growing up amongst the soca and reggae of Trinidad, she spent her summers soaking up the sounds of riot grrrl and grunge visiting her Dad in New York. Now relocated in London the noise in her head is about to make it to record. She releases her debut single, a gutsy rock makeover of M.I.A's Galang, through her own label (Priestess Records) on April 4th. Fit!
