The Business and Craft of Songwriting – Workshop / Concert

Songwriters, performers, producers and anyone involved in the music scene will not want to miss this opportunity. Bill Pere, President of the Connecticut Songwriters Assocation and author of the internationally acclaimed songwriting guide “Songcrafters’ Coloring Book”, will be on hand to present the secrets of navigating the complexities of the music business. With 16 CD’s released, Bill has been named one of the top 50 “Innovators, Groundbreakers, and Guiding Lights of the Music Industry” by Music Connection Magazine. He presents workshops across the U.S. , helping artists achieve their goals. Bill is a judge for several national songwriting competitions. This workshop will address the key issues for songwriters and performers in today’s music scene.
Following the workshop, there will be a CSA Open Mike for the first hour with CSA artists. Then we’ll have a Connecticut Songwriters Association Showcase featuring Bill Pere (one of Connecticut’s State Troubadours), and Kay Pere, who has recorded in Nashville with Grammy Award winning producer Michael Hopkins.
