Bruce Marshall - singer, songwriter, plays dobro, electric and acoustic guitars. His infectious energy on stage sets the tone, while his charisma is felt by the audience at every live show. Bruce favors a melodic style of acoustic and electric lead guitar rarely heard today, and also played on his beautiful trademark silver steel body dobro. Bruce Marshall has been writing and recording his original songs for 37 years. He started playing guitar when he was 13 years old in 1967.

His band, The Bruce Marshall Group, was formed in 1991 and has been recording, delighting crowds and getting rave reviews. Bruce was on the road for most of the 1980's with "Bruce Marshall and the Clue", a very popular Boston based band. In the early 1990's, Bruce formed a duo with his old friend and Blues Harp Legend James Montgomery calling themselves "Montgomery and Marshall" as an acoustic duo. Together they released two live CD’s. In April 2010 their duo performed in Maine, and were joined by a special guest Jonathan Edwards.

At live shows the Bruce Marshall Group treat their dancing and listening fans to a soaring ride as the band rips through Bruce's large collection of original material, as well as playing familiar cover tunes, this variety truly sets his band apart.

The band loves to mix it up, whether it’s pulling off exciting jams that build with dynamics and layering, or playing the concise arrangements of their songs, slipping seamlessly through Blues, Rhythm and Blues (R&B), Country and Southern Rock Boogie.

The Bruce Marshall Group has performed with "The Beach Boys" five times, including a 4th of July show at Otis Air Force Base that drew over 70,000 people (one of the largest concerts ever held in Cape Cod), and at Holman Stadium in Nashua, NH. It was also a kickoff for the National Guard's 200th anniversary.

The Bruce Marshall Group performed at the 2010 Boston Marathon Finish Line Festival, doing an all-day Live Radio Broadcast on WZLX FM, Boston's Classic Rock Station. This new free annual festival is held at The Shops at Prudential Center’s Boylston Street Plaza. The band was a smash hit and have already been invited back to perform again in 2011 !!!
