The Boston Globe Children's Book Festival September 15, 2007

The Doodlebops, Matt Tavares, Justin Roberts & Not Ready for Naptime Players and Sara Pennypacker are just a few of the more than 20 authors and performers who will be featured at the 2007 Boston Globe Childrens Book Festival. The free event will take place from 11:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Copley Square in Boston, Mass. The event will be held rain or shine. The 2007 Boston Globe Childrens Book Festival is presented by Target. Additional sponsors and partners include ReadBoston, The Boston Public Library and the City of Boston Parks & Recreation Department.

Perfect for children up to age nine, The Boston Globe Childrens Book Festival also will feature appearances by costumed characters, interactive activities and author signings. The larger-than-life Target Big Red Chair, which measures almost five feet wide, serves as the symbol of Targets national reading initiative Ready. Sit. Read!, also will be on stage throughout the festival.
