The Chiara Quartet will give a free concert at Harvard University’s John Knowles Paine Concert Hall (Cambridge, MA) as part of the Blodgett Chamber Music Series. Last year, the quartet embarked on a journey to perform all of the string quartets written by Beethoven over the course of two years. They continue the second year of the cycle with this concert, which includes Beethoven’s Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 74; Quartet in G Major, Op. 18, No. 2; and Quartet in C-sharp Minor, Op. 131 - one of the last quartets he composed and by many accounts, the composer’s favorite. Over its first decade, the Chiara Quartet has established itself as among America’s most respected ensembles, lauded for its “highly virtuosic, edge-of-the-seat playing” (The Boston Globe).

Admission is FREE but passes are required, available at the Harvard Box Office (Holyoke Center Arcade)
beginning November 17th
