Founded in 1973 by poet Gail Mazur and sponsored by CCAE, the nationally renowned Poetry Series celebrates its 32nd year of providing diverse contemporary poetry and fiction. Programs are held at the Blacksmith House, the site of the village smithy and spreading chestnut tree of Longfellow?s 1839 poem ?The Village Blacksmith

David Ferry, whose most recent book of translation is The Georgics of Virgil: A Translation, and Frank Bidart, author of the poetry collection Star Dust.
