Five Crowns, a member of the Lawry’s family of restaurants, is gearing up for its inaugural autumn tradition: Porktoberfest! The fun-filled event will feature a whole pig roast in the back yard of Five Crowns as well as unique craft beers via a special collaboration with David Walker, co-founder of Firestone Walker Brewing. Walker will be on hand to discuss and answer questions regarding the various Firestone Walker brews, which will include Oaktoberfest, Double Barrel Ale (DBA), Pale 31, Union Jack, Double Jack, and even perhaps an appearance by the super rare Double DBA and Parabola.
The unique gathering will include four courses, more than four beers, and a few special treats for good measure. Beyond the culinary fare, Porktoberfest will feature a carefully selected music playlist, an irresistibly groovy vibe and charred wood smells to complement the atmosphere. With louder-than-usual music, communal tables, family-style service, and fun games like Twister, Porktoberfest’s party atmosphere will rival any Oktoberfest event.
