The Best of Doo-Wop Reigns at Marin Center January 24, 2009

Doo-wop, as the singing style would become known, was one of the most mainstream, pop-oriented R&B genres of the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. On Saturday, January 24th, a show paying tribute to the popular vocals of the doo-wop era comes to the Marin Center. Starring The Buck Ram Platters, The Four Preps, The Olympics, Danny and the Juniors and Brenda Holloway, the tribute will revel in the true essence of doo-wop; harmony...the heavy presence of soulful, simultaneous harmonies.
