Clap your hands, sing along and have fun as we celebrate the pageantry and musical heritage of America's Civil War. The group will perform songs written for the war, popular music from minstrel shows, Stephen Foster favorites, sentimental, patriotic and humorous songs, each with a historic quote or explanation as to why the song was important at the time. The Battlefield Balladeers have performed at the opening of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum in Springfield, Illinois, the Chicago History Museum, and the Civil War Battlefields of Selma, Alabama and Perryville, Kentucky. No registration or tickets are required.
