Boeing's first plane, the famous B-1 flying boat from 1919, hangs above MOHAI's Hall of Icons in the Boeing Johnson Gallery. The B-1 inaugurated international mail service, with Eddie Hubbard piloting the craft between Seattle and Victoria, B.C., Canada. The plane was built by the firm that would become aerospace powerhouse The Boeing Company.
