The AV Club Presents: BeerPONG! June 18, 2009

Whoa whoa whoa, not THAT beer pong- This is Pong + beer. That's right, we've turned the classic arcade game PONG into the first ever drinking video game! So limber up those wrists (and stomachs...) and get ready for some sweet pongin,' drinkin' action, because our custom version of the game will rock your Thursday night! Contestants compete in the tournament using full size controllers, with a projection screen displaying all the 8-bit action. When you lose a point, you drink some beer. The more you lose, the worse you get- or is it better?

But this game isn't just for the players, folks- it's free for spectators, with $5 well drinks all night- so come on down to cheer on the other teams, drink, socialize, play "traditional" beer pong/beirut, or have a bit to eat (psst- the food is excellent)! Did we mention $5 well drinks all night?

If you want to come play in our BeerPONG Tournament, this is your chance. Sign up a team or just come to watch and cheer for the other teams on June 18th at Life on Wilshire. It's $20 per team to enter (covers cost of beer during gameplay), and as mentioned, free for spectators! Plus, 1st and 2nd place teams win a cash prize! In this economy!

Team check-in is at 8pm, with the first round of BeerPONG! beginning at 9pm.
