2008 CINEMA ORANGE Film Series
Co presented by the Newport Beach Film Festival and the Orange County Museum of Art, Cinema Orange will spotlight the cinematic works of independent filmmakers from around the world. Celebrating its fourth season, the 2008 Cinema Orange summer film series will showcase an eclectic slate of feature length narrative, documentary, short and animated films from the recent 2008 Newport Beach Film Festival. Dedicated to championing the works of aspiring and established filmmakers, the Festival and OCMA proudly embrace the passion, independent spirit and creative vision of these talented artists. Interactive question and answer with filmmakers will follow select screenings. Films will screen on select Thursday evenings in the museum’s auditorium. Film screenings are free with museum admission.

After receiving a full scholarship to attend a prestigious university in the fall and about to marry the girl of his dreams, Conner Laynes’ dreams come crashing down when he is left at the altar. Then his life takes an unexpected turn. A twist of fate leads Conner to Central America, where he meets an adventurer leading a dangerous expedition across the most dangerous jungle - the Darien Gap. Conner joins the group and becomes the seventh member of this ragtag team. Revolutionaries, drug lords, and unexpected twists set Conner on a daring mission meeting new friends and realizing his life's potential.
