1950s disc jockey Art Laboe presents an evening of doo-wop. The Manhattans featuring Gerald Alston and Blue Lovett, along with Troy May and David Tyson have all time hits such as 'Kiss and Say Goodbye' and 'Shining Star' along with numerous other hits. The Delfonics caught the rising tide of R&B music at just the right time in the late 1960s. The group's unique style of singing and their patented dance steps caught the fancy of popular music fans both black and white. The Delfonic's hits ranged from 1968's number 1 single 'La La La Means I Love You,' to top 40 soul hits 'Ready Or Not Here I Come,' 'Break Your Promise,' 'Trying To Make a Fool Out of Me' and 'Didn't I Blow Your Mind This Time.' Lisa Lisa will perform hits such as 'Lost in Emotion' and 'Head to Toe.' Influenced by premier funk groups like Parliament, the Zapp Band first emerged in the 1980s with a unique brand of electro-funk. They gained popularity nationwide with the success of their hit, "More Bounce to the Ounce."

It really sucked, of course fights broke out, and the bands stretched their time on stage by turning 4 minute songs into 10 mind numbing minutes. We won't go again!
