The Argyle Effect

Imagine a rock'n'roll band of circus stagehands going as wild as all the tigers and clowns, spinning their tales as acrobats flip and swirl above. These boys know too much, and their music is the soundtrack to the backhanded deals and sensual murmurs of secret smoky rooms.

The Argyle Effect is made up of four New York City based rock minstrels who blend elements of rock, pop, blues, and klezmer. Their music finds inspiration in tales of brawling speakeasies, hazy riverbanks, and fiery dancefloors. When these showmen step to the stage, it is with the drunken hopeful beating heart of broken down bluesmen. They spit and crackle and fuzz. They clobber kick drums, rumble strings, and sing with the bombast and subtlety of a ringmaster's yawp. They have brought smiles to all ages of fans, recently selling out NYC's famous historic Bitter End and touring throughout the country. Look forward to an evening of rejoicing and foot-stomping in the late night carnival dust.
