About THEP:
The Haiti Expedition Project (THEP) was created as the Flagship Program for UNA SNY YPIC'S mission to raise awareness of the mounting struggles in Haiti. The project seeks to address the humanitarian devastation in Haiti that has been caused by environmental devastation, food crisis, high unemployment, lack of education and infrastructure. A YPIC team will actively immerse themselves in community service initiatives in Haiti - working hand in hand with several organizations in Haiti on projects involving education, environment and infrastructure and will return dedicated to raising awareness among New York's young professionals about the need in Haiti. The THEP crew will visit Haiti in 2009 and actively participate in three projects in Haiti.
