The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Luncheon May 13, 2011

The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Luncheon, which is part of the Montgomery County Go Red For Women Campaign, will be held May 13 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.

The event, which is expected to attract 400 business and community leaders in the Montgomery County area, will start at 10 a.m. with a silent auction and vendor shopping segment followed by lunch, the program and a fashion show at noon.

One out of three women have some form of heart disease, and it is the number one killer of women. Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association’s movement that encourages women to band together to fight heart disease.

The Go Red For Women Luncheon focuses on preventing heart disease and stroke by promoting healthful lifestyles and raising money to support awareness, education and research of heart health in women. Funds raised through the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement go directly to research and educational programs for women and women’s heart health.

The Montgomery County Go Red For Women Campaign and Luncheon is locally sponsored by Conroe Regional Medical Center.
