The Amazing Stage Show Presents IMMORTALITY for the Carnival of 5 Fires October 2, 2011

This Halloween, Gallery 5’s "Carnival of 5 Fires" has a new brand of show appearing in the celebration. What can best be described as a performance art group, THE AMAZING STAGE SHOW brings a full feature length stage production to this years festivities.

IMMORTALITY tells the tale of four immortal beings, Deanna Danger, The Great Zwerdling, Mister S and the Muse as they traverse the waters between life and death. Audience memb...ers will be taken on a journey, visiting gods & goddesses, lands of shadows, creation, & destruction, all through the beauty of dance and the magic of music.

Joining them on this supernatural journey is belly dance icon, Madame Onça, and circus artist Karma Jane. Combining various forms of dance including burlesque, modern dance, and belly dance together with fire, aerial arts, and storytelling, the stage is set for this intrepid odyssey. With a complete original musical score, each episode within IMMORTALITY brings to light the meaning and mission of The Amazing Stage Show, to sway minds to heart, and to turn hearts to love.

IMMORTALITY will take place on October 13th, 2011 at Gallery 5 (200 W. Marshall St.). Doors are at 8pm, and the show starts at 9pm. There will be vendors, raffle prizes and more surprises in store for the evening.

Tickets are $10 in advance, or $15 at the door. ARTIST BIOS

DEANNA DANGER-
Child of the moon and stars, Deanna Danger’s soul emerges in every age of man to be reunited with her life’s purpose. Entwined with the light of the Great Unknown, she brings to Earth the freedom of dance, the freedom of divine inspiration, the freedom to “be.” The Khaleesi of The Amazing Stage Show, her mission is to evoke thought, understanding, and acceptance of the intrinsic power we each have here on this mortal plane- the power to move hearts to love. Star-scrying her way through each realm, this gypsy Rose delivers performance after performance embodying the pure right of life as lived and died for across the history of the World; only to find the light of her own heart, naked, beating and radiating through the core of all existence.

THE GREAT ZWERDLING-
The Universe was formed in a brilliant flash of light and vibration. Eons later we, as merely forms of frozen light, still resonate and respond to all forms of vibration. Emotions are extensions of the
soul and music is one of the purest manifestations of emotion. Its vibrations reach us and affect us on a primordial level, as we all still resonate in some way that is related to the Great Beginning. Music makes us laugh, cry, and sometimes elevates us to places we never thought we could go. The Great Zwerdling begins his music with an emotional concept, and develops it through the story that is being told. Whether his music is beautiful or blaring; melodic or dissonant; it will convey an emotion, tell a story, and briefly allow the listener to resonate on a different plane.

MISTER S-
When the thousandth string breaks- the primal song shall be heard. Neither here nor there- betwixt and between; a traveler-trodden crossroads to unite all the worlds. Intersection of heaven and hell, bastard child of Elysian Fields- breath born of moonlight; cloaked in the rays of the Seventh Sun. Shambhala rising. Salva veritate. Steadying the steadfast steed- almighty Windhorse, carry us upon your mighty back- home again, home again, alas, Tír na nÓg! It is a good day to die…

THE MUSE-
Sprung from the world of wonder and mystery, The Muse lightly steps into this world to invoke joy and marvel. Magick drips from the edges of her form, an intoxicating elixor offering each humble drinker an abundance of pleasure. In hunting names that may capture her essence... burlesquie,
roadster, rope dancing, teasing, glitter loving, costume cultivating, dream weaving, belly dancing, choreographing visionary come close. Or perhaps no words just the sound of her gong gently ringing in your ears and vibrating through your heart. Her mission in life - Onward, upward, and inward revelations. The stage is her love, home, freedom, spirit, and world of infinite dreams, and she invites you to revere this space with the highest honor. If one were to speak her name, an illustrious new world would begin.

MADAME ONÇA-
Madame Onça is a career entertainer, event producer, nationally touring performer, and internationally published author and artist. She stages several major festivals annually, as well as myriad other events. Staged in Asheville, NC, her award-winning ABSfest: the Americana Burlesque & Sideshow Festival, is now is in its fifth year of bringing together artists from around the world to perform, study and network. Onça's annual festival TribOriginal: Tribal Dance, Music & Culture Camp has been nominated for Best Event, and her dance company Baraka Mundi as been nominated likewise for both Best Kept Secret and Best Dance Company. Onça currently travels the country teaching and performing song, dance and sultry antics of Luscious Cabaret & Balkan Ruckus with the Mezmer Society, and with the Accidental Circus, directed by Jester of England, Paolo Garbanzo. She illustrated and co-authored The World Spirit Tarot, an instant classic, which has been translated into Spanish.

It is her stalwart belief is that "The greatest expression of Rebellion is Joy."

KARMA JANE-
High flying, hoop circling, contorting sprite of mite, Karma Jane personifies excellence. With complete focus and dedication, her varied performance styles entertain and mesmerize. Though young in body and heart, this boundless nomadess brings finesse in its finest through the essence of innocence to every stage she graces.
