The 6th Annual Urban Mediamakers Film Festival (UMFF) 2007 -- "The Movement in Progress through Independent Filmmaking." Blending activism and filmmaking, UMFF 2007 brings a strong Atlanta vibe that encompasses the city's signature of being culturally diverse. Taking place October 12-14, 2007 at the Doubletree Hotel, this three-day festival offers competition for best film, (short- and feature-length), student film, television show, music/spoken word video, and screenplay (short film ONLY), networking, workshops for producers, writers, film/video editors and music composers, and the Urban Mediamakers Awards.

UMFF 2007 is a must-attend for independent filmmakers, activists, community organizations, actors, writers, directors, independent filmmakers, students, producers, music composers, animators, media professionals, designers, stylists, and lovers of independent films.

UMFF 2007 is seeking quality, innovative projects that are not only entertaining, but that invoke thought and change on issues that affect us as people -- social, economic, civil/human rights, environment, political, religion/spirituality, and others.
