Celebrate the holiday season with the Daughters of the American Revolution! Bring your family to the fifth annual public holiday open house at this National Historic Landmark Building located across the street from the National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse. Memorial Continental Hall, home of the DAR, will host evening tours of the historic period rooms decorated for the holidays on December 6, 2006 from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Join us for hot chocolate, cookies and a taste of history. Choral music will take place throughout the evening and Santa will mingle with guests. The DAR Museum Gallery, featuring the exhibition "Myth or Truth? Stories We've Heard About Early America" will be open to visitors. The DAR Christmas Open House is FREE to the public and reservations or tickets are NOT required. Enter at the 17th Street front entrance (between D and C Streets).
