CVMP 2007 is the fourth in a series of events bringing together practitioners in media production from film, broadcast and games with researchers in imaging and graphics. Visual media production commonly makes use of developments that are at the convergence of image and video analysis with computer graphics. Image analysis has widespread application in visual media production including editing, annotation and special effects. New techniques in visual scene analysis are now commonplace in media production to combine synthetic and real elements. Emerging new delivery platforms, like e-cinema, high-resolution displays for the home and interactive media are asking for new approaches. The aim of the conference is to show how these techniques are used in current media production and to discuss their future influence on common practice.

The 4th European Conference on Visual Media Production 2007 (CVMP 2007) paper submission system is now active. The organising committee invite contribution for full oral sessions, short paper with poster and poster only sessions.

The BBC Best Paper Award 2007

The Conference on Visual Media Production is honoured to announce the BBC Best Paper Award 2007. This Competition is open to all full papers submitted for the CVMP 2007 event. Papers are judged by peer review and will be marked on the basis of the subject, argument, style of the paper, and presentation.

The award comprises a certificate and a prize of £250.
