Practical Case Studies, Tools and Discussions on Strategy, Relationships and Performance in a Changing Environment
23 & 24 October, Novotel Canberra
A day in the life of an Executive Officer is varied and unpredictable. The position holder represents senior management at the coal face of agency business and often finds themselves in that critical space between strategy and operational execution. The capacity to adapt to organisational change and lead others through that process, is a skill that is highly valued in any executive team. The Executive Officer is a key player in facilitating how strategy and change is executed overall across divisions; as such, the Executive Officer has to be forward thinking to see how the different pieces fall into place and be able to communicate the intent of change across the department to ensure smooth execution and sustained performance.
Liquid Learning is delighted to present the 4th Annual Executive Officers’ Forum 2012, a highly successful program that through continued research and development has been improved with new content and that addresses current challenges. This is the only professional development opportunity catering to the unique needs of Executive Officers that provides a combination of highly interactive case studies, expert commentary, panel discussions and practical workshop sessions. It has been designed to provide a platform for knowledge sharing and to increase the effectiveness of managing change, improving communication and influencing skills to better manage relationships at all levels in the organisation.
Sessions will explore practical solutions and ideas on managing change in policy and structure, whilst engaging collaboratively with different stakeholders. This is a great learning and networking opportunity for Executive Officers to test their assumptions through knowledge exchange and build a strong support network. As stakeholder buy-in is becoming more important than ever, this conference also focuses on honing the Executive Officer’s communication and influencing skills in the workplace.
