The 3rd Annual Green Energy Conference for Youth October 21, 2007

This unique student workshop has been enjoyed by young people from across South Western Ontario.

In 2005 the conference covered sustainability

In 2006, we focused on energy policy, including issues in nuclear energy, green roofs and conservation.

In 2007, the Green Energy Conference for Youth will focus on residential and local conservation and feasibility of self-sufficient or partially self-sufficient homes and buildings.



Objectives:

· Learn about technologies that are currently offered and environmental design;

· Consider the economic and practical issues of self sufficiency;

· Engage in a dialogue with experts in the field of green energy;

· Meet with community members who have successfully converted their homes;

· Explore ideas and share the students’ own ideas regarding green energy solutions.
