The vizNET 2008 conference aims to establish an international medium for the exchange of new ideas and practical experience between researchers working in the field of visualization from scientific and engineering applications to the arts and humanities.

Visualization is no longer a tool just for scientists and engineers -
increasingly the arts and humanities communities are making greater use of visualization techniques in their activities. There is a great deal
that the science, engineering, arts and humanities communities can learn from each other.

The scope of the event covers a wide range of visualization topics that
are applicable for novice, novice-advanced, and expert visualization
users. This will be an important opportunity to present and hear about
the latest research, results, and ideas in these areas, as well as their
applications. The full event will include 2 day introductory workshop on
visualization (for novice and novice-advanced visualization users)
followed by a third day of expert visualization users.

Registration is now open online at http://www.viznet.ac.uk/viznet2008

Call for Posters and Videos

Delegates are invited to submit an A1 poster of their work. There will
be tables available to demonstrate the work described by the poster
during the event. A prize will be awarded for the best poster.

Delegates are also invited to submit a short (3 minute) video clip of
their work. The video clips will be included in one of the early
presentation sessions, giving participants a chance to show off new
visualization techniques.

Full details on the submission process are available from the vizNET
