The 2012 Community Tour Walks, Bikes And Rides Into Richmond! June 8, 2012

The 2012 Community Tour celebrates those who give their hearts, time and skills to strengthen communities. The two-month program kicked off on May 12th in Miami, Florida, and continues up the East Coast, following the route of the East Coast Greenway and culminating in Portland, Maine, on July 7th, the International Day of Cooperatives. The Tour features eight major weekend stops in key cities along the northern route, including Miami, Charleston, Durham, Fredericksburg, Wilmington, New York City, Providence and Portland. Additionally, smaller weekday events will take place at stops along the route between the key cities. While events and activities will vary by market, the overall theme of cooperatives, community service and volunteerism will be the hallmark of each celebration.
Please join us as we walk/run and celebrate at the Connects Federal Credit Union Corporate 4-Miler. Take part and help promote health in the work place and build corporate pride - or just use it as an excuse to head outdoors for a great summer night with friends. With post-event festivities (open to all) featuring food, drinks, live music and fun, it's quickly grown into Richmond's biggest office party.

Stop by and have breakfast with us in Bryan Park, along the East Coast Greenway route as we send the cyclists off for stop #4, in Fredericksburg, VA. Enjoy bagels, Cabot Cheddar, juices and more as we celebrate those who give their hearts and time to strengthen our communities!
