The combination of economic, social, and political conditions of 2008 (e.g., the lending downfall, housing market bust, unrest in various countries around the world, oil costs, declining consumer confidence) created a perfect storm of budget cutbacks and layoffs for 2009. While growth predictions vary greatly, there is no doubt there is a significant opportunity for digital to be and even more important part of the marketing solution in ’09. The other good news for internet marketers is that our industry has lived through this type of economy before, and not only survived -- but in the end, thrived.
Join us for the first event of the 2009: BIMA’s annual state of the industry event, a program that has evolved to focus on insightful discussions and examinations of what is coming as we move forward in a digital interactive world. This year, we’ll be inviting a panel of marketing professionals who survived the internet bust of 2001/2002 to share their lessons learned, and to discuss how these lessons can be applied today.
