The Moms@Work Luncheon is a celebration of women and families in the work force.

Our speaker this year is blogger, author and columnist, Paula Spencer, who has appeared nationally on "Oprah!" as well as on newsstands in "Women's Day," "Redbook," "Glamour" and other publications. Moms across the nation will recognize Spencer’s name from her monthly column in Women’s Day magazine, “Momfidence,” as well as the book, blog, Web site and realistic mothering attitude of the same name. “Momfidence,” for the uninitiated, is described as “realizing that generations of kids have survived TV, toy guns, dust, unlocked toilets and riding tricycles on the grass without a helmet and skimming the latest childrearing advise and tossing two-thirds.” It’s this special brand of humor, pragmatism and taking care of what’s actually important which make Paula the ideal Moms@Work speaker, continuing the tradition of mothers-with-careers who don’t take themselves too seriously.

The luncheon also honors the Family Friendly 40 companies – a select group of companies who go above and beyond to accommodate working parents and families. Each luncheon attendee receives a free gift bag full of goodies and has the opportunity to win door prizes!

Charlotte Parent welcomes 2007 Moms@Work luncheon sponsors: Accrue Partners, Bright Horizons, Crosland LLC, Grant Thornton, Presbyterian Hemby Children's Hospital and media sponsor Lite 102.9.
