Continuing to consistently deliver the unexpected with the most unique live show on the touring circuit today, That 1 Guy has announced his fall "Mustaches & Laser Beams Tour."

That 1 Guy-real name Mike Silverman-amazes audiences with performances that are equal parts innovative sonic spectacle and entertaining visual showcase. The Bay Area- based classically trained jazz bassist turned musical mad scientist will make an autumn trek across the country with his Magic Pipe, a homemade instrument-concocted out of a steel plumbing tube-that allows Silverman to deliver a mind-bending amalgamation of percussive rhythm and sound.

As the dynamic one-man band acrobatically bangs away on the pipe, while plucking a single bass string and scatting vocal phrases, he creates digitally enhanced rhythmic grooves that can easily roller coaster from acid jazz cacophony to dance friendly funk.

While That 1 Guy's fan base continues to grow, he has also been embraced by his musical peers and predecessors. Silverman spent time on the road with guitarist Buckethead and made an appearance on Tom Waits' album 2006 "Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards." His music has also been featured on the Showtime cult hit "Weeds."

The "Mustaches & Laser Beams Tour" promises to be That 1 Guy's most inventive. While the "Mustaches" comes from a composition on the 2007 critically hailed album The Moon is Disgusting, Silverman is still envisioning the role of the "Laser Beams."

"I'm upping the ante with the stage show," says Silverman. "There are going to be new visual tricks. I want them to be surprises, and I can't wait to spring them on people. There will definitely be mustaches, and there may or may not be laser beams. I've been fine-tuning the pipe all summer and creating a whole different show."
