EXHIBIT/ TEXTILE SALE/ SLIDE PRESENTATION: Textiles of Persia &
Afghanistan - John Gillow Textile Sale & OCELOT Spring Preview & Sample Sale!

• Friday, Feb. 2nd, 6-9pm textile sale/ exhibit and OCELOT sale &slide
show @ 8pm

• Saturday, Feb. 3rd, 2-6pm textile sale/ exhibit & OCELOT sale

Famed textile collector & author/ traveler John Gillow will bring his new
pieces from Iran & Afghanistan, & will give a slide show friday @ 8pm
about textiles from Persia & Afghanistan. His collection will be for sale,
& includes textiles from China, Africa, Indonesia & Pakistan.

John Gillow has traveled the world for more than thirty years, studying,
collecting & lecturing on textiles. He has authored or co-authored 10
books ranging from 3World Textiles: A Visual Guide to Traditional
Techniques2 to 3African Textiles2 & 3Traditional Indian Textiles2.

• John will also be giving a lecture on textiles of the Sindh (Pakistan) on Saturday, February 10, 10am @ the De Young Museum - Koret Auditorium. Call Trish @ the textile arts council for more details: 415-750-3627.
