Textile Collection April 9, 2007

The American Swedish Institute houses a large collection of historic Swedish textiles including bed linens, table cloths, coverlets, rugs, wallhangings, clothing and folk costumes. The majority of these items were brought to this country with the immigrants and demonstrate the weave types, motifs, materials and the natural and commercially made dyes that were used during the immigration period.
