Magnet Theater hosts a variety of performances and special events by the best of New York’s improv masters and visiting international artists on Tuesdays through Sundays at 254 W. 29th Street, ground floor (between 7th and 8th Avenues), NYC. My American Cousin is a one woman sketch comedy show written and performed by Jameeleh Shelo and directed by Min-aha Beeck. The show is a unique view into the life of an American Middle Eastern Muslim woman from the south side of Chicago, as she navigates her way through cultural pressures and societal assumptions. From arranged marriages to 9/11 and Ramadan nothing is off-limits. Featuring Jameeleh Shelo.
