Tejas Art gallery Sale cum Exhibition. While in college he won a scholarship for water-colour painting. He has worked as an illustrator, graphic designer and animator, and has done the main artwork, including installation work, for many Government-funded projects at Shillong Museum, Guwahati Kala Khatra Museum, Dhanuka Complex, Guwahati and JawaharLal Nehru State Museum, Arunachal Pradesh. The strength of his lines, the life-like quality of his figures, and his use of vibrant colours are features that have contributed to his growing popularity. Goutam Sarkar lives and works in Kolkata.
