Last year Toronto Free Gallery sent out a call for proposals to all emerging artists for a juried competition which offered a solo exhibition at TFG and a one-week residency opportunity at Artscape’s Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts offered by Toronto Free Gallery.

We are excited to present the works of the two artists chosen: Tejpal S. Ajji and Franco DeFrancesca.

Water, Water Everywhereby Tejpal S. Ajji
Tej asks what two of Ontario's less typically commemorated natural and human resources – fresh water and immigrant labour -- would look
like if memorialized as fountain monuments.

Vagilanti - Prophylactic Nanobots by Franco DeFrancesca
The Vagilanti project presents a conflation between marketing and social engineering where social mores, branding, technological hubris, entertainment, and sexuality converge. Humorously exploring the charm and surreptitiousness
of product merchandising permeating contemporary culture and its influence on societal issues that become cross-contaminated.
