?The Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom? unites one of the Russian Orthodox Church?s most sacred texts with a bold setting written by Peter Tchaikovsky. Rich in themes and textures, this is music that alternates between the ancient mysteries of Eastern traditions and modern sonic power.

The Chorale is especially pleased to welcome two of the East Coast?s most exciting vocal soloists, bass Vladimir Ekzarkhov and tenor Ken Kasovac. Mr. Ekzarkhov is a frequent performer with the Washington Opera, Choral Arts Society, Bel Cantanti and Opera Orchestra of New York as well as a frequent collaborator with the Chorale. Mr. Kasovac is the choir director of Washington?s St. Nicholas Cathedral, Orthodox Church in America.
