Deeksha Marur and Firdous Majeed conceptualized their theatre production company D-Fir, with the intention of shattering the elitist veneer cloaking the art. The team at D-Fir hopes to reach out to the people of Hyderabad through their first stage production, titled “Tax Free”, a play revolving around a club for the blind, run by the blind. The actors are Kashif Ali, playing the role of the club owner, supported by his willing accomplice ‘Pandharpur’, played by Pradyun Rao, with the two having fun at the expense of ‘Kale’, the unsuspecting new member played by Radhe Shyam Pai.
