No Great Mischief
By David S. Young
Adapted from the novel by Alistair MacLeod
“All of us are a little better when we’re loved.”

Tarragon Theatre presents No Great Mischief, written by award-winning playwright David S. Young, adapted from the novel by Alistair MacLeod, and directed by Richard Rose, Artistic Director of Tarragon Theatre. This striking drama previews Tuesday September 11, opens Wednesday September 19 and closes Sunday October 21, 2012 in Tarragon Theatre’s Mainspace. Tickets range from $20-$51 (inclusive of HST) and are available by calling the box office at 416.531.1827 or by visiting www.tarragontheatre.com

No Great Mischief stars John Dolan, David Fox, Daniel Givern, Stephen Goy-McGrath, Ben Irvine, Nicola Lipman, Jack Nicholsen and R.H. Thomson.

Haunted by the stories and songs of their Scottish ancestry, two brothers (Fox and Thomson), seek to reconcile their past in this sweeping saga of familial loss and love. A bittersweet rumination on the ties that bind, this evocative memory play takes us from a squalid Kensington Market rooming house to Cape Breton’s stormy shores and the deep mines of Elliot Lake.
No Great Mischief premiered at Tarragon Theatre in 2004 and was subsequently presented in Ottawa and Halifax.
“Sometimes magic happens in a theatre when all the forces align in a near perfect configuration. Such is the Tarragon’s production of 'No Great Mischief.'” -Classical 96.3 FM, Toronto
