Want to use Tarot cards but don't have a clue how? Do you think they are too complicated or just too darn scary!? Then this is the class you've been waiting for!

The Tarot can be confusing to many beginners and the fact that there are now hundreds of different decks available only adds to the confusion. What deck is best for you? How are Tarot cards different than so-called "oracle" cards? How is the story of past, present and future revealed in a card "spread?" How can the Tarot help you cope with these tough financial times, stress and the demands of day to day life? This class will clearly explain the many ways in which the Tarot can be used effectively - not just for divining the future!

Class Summaries:

Part I: Introduction To Tarot Card Reading

Here you get the solid foundation you need to read the cards effectively. The various suits and royalty cards are described in an easy to understand way. After a very brief history of Tarot's origins you will discover that the cards are a tool you can use to further your understanding of yourself, your world and see how spiritual truth can be experienced more intimately as a part of your daily life -no matter what religion you follow. You get the 'nuts and bolts' theory of Cartomancy (card reading) in this first introductory class.

Fee: $20 per session/ $60 total

Part II: Hands-on Demo's & Practical uses

This is where theory becomes action! Based on what was learned in the first session of this series you begin using the Tarot deck of your choice (use either your own deck or buy one here*) and begin to see what a 'spread' feels and looks like. Qumran will take the class through a typical reading with the student going through the motions themselves. Please note: Qumran will NOT be performing readings for individual students as part of this class. Readings by "Q" is a separate service and costs $40.

Part III: Student Readings Workshop

As the title suggests each student will be able (if they are so inclined) to do a very simple reading using their cards and ask questions along the way. This will equip you to use the cards comfortably for yourself or others. Remember that the Tarot cards have different uses. Some people may have no interest in using them to foresee the future. If this is the case this class will show you many other ways to use them. The Student Readings portion of the series is an ideal place to utilize them this way also.
